Position Title: Play Crew

Accountable To: Supervisor  

Accountable For: No subordinates. Direct supervision of children in contracted home.

Annual Training Required: TBD

Qualifications:  

  • Must be fun, energetic, and love kids
  • Must be 18 Years of Age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Pass all required background checks
  • Must be able to exercise good judgement
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and history of dependability, responsibility, and trustworthiness
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid
  • Must have dependable transportation and a current drivers license
  • Must choose kindness, hold yourself accountable, and passionate about making a difference. 
  • Must be able to provide two professional references
  • Must be willing to accept a minimum of 1 job every 14 days

Essential Job Functions:

  • Play and interact with children. Our main goal is to meet the child’s basic needs and play/ interact with the children throughout the entire visit. This includes games, crafts, and other activities in the home. Our goal is that every child has so much fun during their Play Crew on the Go visit that they want you to return time and time again!
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children. This is the most important part of the job. Play Crew on the Go members are responsible for all supervision of all children while in the home.  
  • Follow the care plan.  Play Crew on the Go members will work with the parents to determine a care plan.  All Play Crew members must ensure the care planned is followed per the parents wishes.
    • Meeting all basic needs: Play Crew employees are responsible for meeting all the basic needs for the children in our care.
      • This might include but not limited to:  Diaper Changes, Restroom Assistance, comforting an upset child, Feeding/ food preparation, and following the care plan.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures at all time.
    • Leave the home better than you found it.  As part of the company values, leave it better than we found it, Play Crew on the Go members must pick up after the children while they are in their care.  The goal is to leave the house cleaner than when you arrived.
  • Understand and be able to enact all Emergency Procedures if necessary.
